Yonhap

Yonhap News Agency is the only news agency in South Korea, which provides domestic and foreign news and information to newspapers and television. It was founded on 19 December 1980, after merged the Hapdong News Agency and Orient Press. Yonhap has numerous contracts with 49 non-Korean news agencies and exchanges with the North Korean news agency Korean Central News Agency ( KCNA ).

Yonhap was the host news agency for the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988 and was elected twice to the OANA.
