Yoo Jin-sun

Yoo Jin -sun ( Kor. 유진선; born July 12, 1962 in Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do ) is a former South Korean tennis player.

Career

Yoo Jin -sun could achieve more success on the ATP Challenger Tour or later in his career. Also for Grand Slam tournaments he could qualify never.

At the Asian Games in 1986 succeeded Yoo Jin -sun, in all disciplines in which he competed to win the gold medal. He won the single, the double, the mixed and the team competition.

He participated in the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. In the opening round of the individual competition he succumbed to the Israeli Amos Mansdorf in three sets and thus retired. In the doubles competition, he retired in common with Kim Bong -soo also already in the first round. He and Kim were subject to the Indians Anand and Vijay Amritraj in three sets.

Yoo Jin -sun denied 1984-1990 a total of 17 matches for the South Korean Davis Cup team. Both its individual balance sheet at 8:5 as well as its double balance with 10:6 is positive.
