York City F.C.

York City ( officially: York City Football Club ) - also known as The Minstermen or Yorkies - is a football club established in 1922 from York in northern England. The association is in 2012 after winning the play-offs of the National Conference in the Football League Two, the fourth- highest English football league home. The club colors are red and white. The home games are played in the 9,034 -seat Bootham Crescent.

The club spent most of its history in the lower professional leagues (third or fourth performance level), only in the 1970s could participate two seasons long at the Football League Second Division.
