York (Ontario)

York [ jɔɹk ] is a western district of Toronto, which is the second smallest with an area of ​​23.18 square kilometers. York was founded on 1 January 1850 and went in 1998 following the merger of other districts in the " Megacity " on Toronto. York counts 143 255 inhabitants ( 2006 census ).
