Yorkville (Toronto)

Yorkville is a district of Toronto. The town was established in 1830 in 1883 the city of Toronto incorporated. The historic center of Yorkville was the area north of Bloor Street and east of Avenue Road. Nowadays, it extends up to the Davenport Road to the north, Yonge Street to the east and is considered the exclusive shopping area. The local section of Bloor Street in Yorkville was, together with the Robson Street in Vancouver in 2007 among the 25 most expensive streets in the world.

In Yorkville annually hosts the Toronto International Film Festival.
