Yosef Shiloach

Joseph Shiloach (Hebrew יוסף שילוח; born July 9, 1941 in Iranian Kurdistan; † 3 January 2011) was an Israeli actor.

Life

Shiloach came to Israel in 1950. After visiting the Beit Zvi acting school, he played his first film role in 1964 in Mishpachat Simchon; he was then in numerous classics of Israeli cinema, for example, Hagiga b'snuker, popsicles and later in international productions like Rambo 3, The Mummy is alive or not without seeing my daughter. On television he was a frequent guest. In addition to his specialty - comic roles with strong Persian accent - he was cast in dramatic roles.

In 2009 he received the award for his life's work at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
