Yoshida Kanetomo
Kanetomo Yoshida (Japanese吉田 兼 倶; * 1435, † 1511), was a religious reformer of Japan. He came from an old soothsayer family at the imperial court, the Yoshida and Urabe.
Yoshida led the Kami- conceptions Japan combined. By substantiated by the Yoshida Shinto Shinto begins to exist as a separate, coherent religion. He stressed that Shinto is the origin of everything and the most important thing for Japan, and that Shinto is superior in itself to Buddhism and Confucianism.
