Yoshie Ueno

Yoshie Ueno (Jap.上 野 顺 恵Yoshie Ueno, born July 1, 1983 in Asahikawa ) is a Japanese judoka and two-time world champion. It occurs in the weight class up to 63 kg, the light middleweight.

Yoshie Ueno won in March 2002 in Budapest her first World Cup tournament; six months later she became Junior World Champion. In 2003, she won at the Asian Championships in Jeju, this item could defend in Tashkent and 2007 in Kuwait in 2005. After she was defeated at the 2007 Japanese Championships in the final against Ayumi Tanimoto, she won a year later before Tanimoto. Nevertheless, Tanimoto was preferred for the Olympic team and defended her gold medal from 2004 successfully.

After Tanimoto had finished her career took Yoshie Ueno from Japan in 2009 at international championships. She won at the World Judo Championships 2009 in Rotterdam and in 2010 in Tokyo. Two months after the 2010 World Cup they won at the Asian Games in Guangzhou. In April 2011, Yoshie Ueno finished third at the Asian Championships in Abu Dhabi. At the World Championships in August 2011 in Paris, she reached the final, but it lost to the French Gevrise Emane. In her first Olympic Games in London in 2012 she reached the third place.

Yoshie Ueno Masae Ueno older sister was in 2004 and 2008 Olympic champion at middleweight.
