Yotam Halperin

Yotam Halperin ( born January 24, 1984 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli professional basketball player who is currently with Hapoel Jerusalem under contract.

Career

Born of 1.96 m wide Guard on January 24, 1984 in Tel Aviv, Israel. As Halperin was eight years old, he started playing basketball at the top Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv. When he had finished his school career and came into the first team, he had to get big problems playing time since the club was very well cast in his position with Anthony Parker. In 2005, he then received an offer from KK Union Olimpija in Ljubljana, where he played in the 2005-06 season. It succeeded Olimpija this season both the Slovenian Cup, as well as the Slovenian championship to win.

The NBA Draft 2006 placed him 53rd place, which is no contract in the NBA guaranteed, whereupon it pulled him back to his hometown to Maccabi. In the 2006/07 season he performed well, reaching Tel Aviv the Final Four of the Euro League. On June 15, 2008 Halperin then signed a contract with Olympiakos BC. This agreement, he fulfilled until the end of the season 2010/11. He then moved to Russia and played 2011/2012 BK Spartak Saint Petersburg in the first division of Russia.

For the 2012/13 season Halperin left Russia again and moved to Germany and signed a one-year contract at the basketball department of FC Bayern Munich. On July 10, 2013 it was announced that his contract at Bayern is not extended. Then Halperin returned to his homeland and signed a two year contract with Hapoel Jerusalem.
