Young God Records is an American independent record label, which was founded in 1990 by Michael Gira, frontman of the influential No Wave band Swans. He also produced the majority of the publications of the label.

Young God specializes in experimental popular music. Many numbers in the label catalog elude a precise categorization and alternate between folk and noise music.

The name of the label comes from an EP of the Swans called Young God from the year 1984. Actually, the label was also just so launched in order to market the increasingly popular music of the Swans better.

In the fall of 2010, there was a bottleneck in the delivery of the label, as a result of the publication of the long-awaited Swans album My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky too many orders for the small DIY companies were received. Therefore, you could order a longer period of time nothing of the label.
