Youssef Tabti

Tabti Youssef ( born 1968 in Paris ) is a French conceptual artist with Algerian roots.

He works primarily with video and installations. Lives since 1994 in Hamburg.

Life

Youssef Tabti is based in Germany since 1994 and lived in several cities: Paris, Montpellier, Berlin, but with permanent residence in Hamburg. He studied art and art history in Paris and began his first work in 1992 with installations and photographs. A part of his artistic approach is based on the influences of other arts, such as literature, film and music. He's Association since 2002, member of the Künstlerhaus Hamburg Frise
