Youth politics

Youth policy is to make the living conditions of young people taking into account their needs and concerns. Most parties have expressed their youth political ideas in their party programs. Many providers of youth work have also positioned on issues of youth policy and youth work and published explanations. On the different levels of government, there are committees, committees, working groups, youth councils, youth organizations and loose associations. Federal level

Youth work at the federal level

At the federal level are currently 24 youth associations, which together 16 national youth councils and five affiliated associations in the study group of the German Youth ring. The national youth councils network their work twice a year as part of the Conference of Regional Youth Councils.

The state level

In Lower Saxony there are over 80 nationally organized youth associations, which are in turn partially closed in umbrella organizations (such as in the AEJN Working Group of the Evangelical Youth in Lower Saxony or in BDKJ Federation of Catholic Youth). Most of these organizations are members of the National Youth Council of Lower Saxony eV LJR networked whose work and represents the interests of youth work and young people in politics, administration and the public.
