Ytrac

Ytrac ( Occitan: Eitrac ) is a commune in the French region of Auvergne and with 3937 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The municipality belongs to the district of the canton of Aurillac Aurillac and -2. The inhabitants are called Ytracois.

Location

Ytrac is located in the Massif Central between the rivers Authre and Cère and directly adjacent to the city of Aurillac, etway 6.5 km west-southwest from the city center Aurillacs. The community itself consists of the villages of Le Bex, Espinat and Ytrac.

History

The castle of Ytrac (Château d' Ytrac ) was a primitive fortress. the other hand, enjoys the Château de Lamartinie, built in 1592, the status of monument historique ( PA00093726 ).
