Yttrium (III ) chloride is a chemical compound, more specifically the chloride of yttrium.
Production and representation
Can be obtained by reaction of yttrium yttrium oxide with hydrochloric acid or chlorine.
Use
Yttrium is in analytical chemistry as a catalyst for the production of pure yttrium (for example, by reduction with potassium ) and as starting material of the ceramic materials (e.g., titanium and phosphorus-containing ceramics which are used inter alia as a microwave filter and laser material can ) and glasses used.
