Yu Fengtong

Fengtong Yu (Chinese于凤桐, Pinyin Yu Fengtong, * December 15, 1984 in Yichun ( Heilongjiang ) ) is a specialized in sprints Chinese speed skaters.

Yu Fengtong debuted in 2004 at the fourth World Cup of the season in Salt Lake City. With a second place over 500 meters at the World Cup in February 2002 in Harbin, he came to a peak ranking for the first time. Two years later he won the 100 meters in Renon for the first time. Nearly a dozen World Cup victories followed until today. In the 2003 /04 season he won the overall World Cup over 100 meters and was fourth on 500 meters.

Yu took part in the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2006. The only good result was a fifth place over 500 meters in Turin. This placement he also reached at the World Championships the year before in Inzell.
