Yuen Biao

Yuen Biao ( born July 26, 1957 in Hong Kong) (Ch元彪) is a world famous actor of the martial arts film.

Biography

He was born on July 26, 1957 in Hong Kong as the Hsia Ling- Jun (夏令 正). At the age of five years he began studying at the China Drama Academy, a Peking Opera School (a kind of boarding school that specializes in martial arts, singing and acting ), headed by the strict Master Yu Jim Yuen, who there children inter alia, discipline, and fighting (among the Chinese Wing Chun Kung Fu ), and actors taught. At this school he met his future friends Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan know.

In 1973, at the age of 16, Yuen Biao was used for the first time as a stunt double for Bruce Lee. He replaced the martial arts legend in the film Game of Death with the acrobatic performances, which were not feasible for the principal Double, the Taekwondo Tai Chung Kim. The late 70s and early 80s Biao then played with in a few films of Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan, which earned him international fame.
