Yugala Dighambara

Prince Yugala Dighambara, Prince of Lopburi, ( full title: Thai: สมเด็จ พระเจ้า บรม วงศ์ เธอ เจ้าฟ้า ยุคล ฑิ ฆั ม พร กรม หลวง ลพบุรี รา เม ศร, RTGS: Somdet Chao Fa Phrachao Borommawongthoe Yukhon Thikhamphon Kromma Luang Lopburi Ramet, born March 17, 1883 in Bangkok, † April 8, 1932 ) was a son of the Thai King Rama V ( Chulalongkorn ). He was viceroy of southern Thailand and Minister of the Interior of Siam.

Life

Prince Yugala studied at Cambridge University, where he also received his degree, then returned to Bangkok and then served under his half-brother Vajiravudh (Rama VI. ) As Uparat ( " Viceroy ") for the south of the country. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII ) appointed him in 1926 Mahatthai ( Home Secretary ).

Prince Yukhon was married to Princess Chaloemkhetra Mankala Banuband, a daughter of Prince Banurangsi Sawangwongse. One of the grandchildren of this compound is the famous Thai filmmaker Chatrichaloem Yukol.

Prince Yugala Dighambara died on 8 April 1932.
