Yugtun script

The Alaska Scripture gelegentl. also Yupik Scripture, is a syllabic script that was developed around 1900 by the Yupik Uyakoq.

Uyakoq was illiterate, but had by his son some access to the letters of the English language. He therefore related English words in Latin letters as syllabic signs in his work.

Yupik is now written in the Latin script.
