YÅ«ichi Komano

Yuichi Komano (Japanese驹 野 友 一Yuichi Komano, born 25 July 1981 in Kainan ) is a Japanese football player.

Career

Association

Komano began playing football at the Ono JFC and Kainan No.3 Junior High School. After the death of his father, he set himself the goal of one day in the J. League and for the Samurai Blue - Japanese national team - to play. He was a promising talent in his youth and was courted by clubs such as Gamba Osaka, JEF United Ichihara and Sanfrecce Hiroshima, which he still moved during his junior and time since 2000 on the J. League squad of the club belonged. Since 2001 he has been in Hiroshima regular player in defense or as a defensive midfielder and the club remained in the second division in 2003 faithful, succeeded in the immediate resurgence. His early years were marked by injuries. In 2003, he suffered a ligament injury, and the following year he broke the Olympic football tournament collarbone, but was able to fight back every time.

In 2008 he moved to Júbilo Iwata, in which the developed into a key player of the team by speed, alertness and strength in the tackle as well as by its solid Paßspiel distinguishing defender.

National

Similarly as in the resistant club plays Yuichi Komano in the national teams of Japan. 1999 and 2001 he played in at the Junior World Championships in the team for his age group. In 2004 he participated with the Japanese U23 at the Olympic Games in Athens. And since 3 August 2005 he plays in the Japanese national team. Although he was not in the qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany while in the preparatory phase, however, he came to the World Cup squad and came to Germany once more than 90 minutes to use.

In the second round of the 2010 World Cup, he missed the decisive penalty kick in the penalty shootout against Paraguay.
