Yuja Wang

Wang Yujia (Chinese王羽佳, Pinyin Wáng Yǔjiā ) ( born February 10, 1987 in Beijing, People's Republic of China), better known by the apparently self-invented spelling Yuja Wang is a Chinese pianist.

Life

Wang grew up as the daughter of a dancer and a percussionist on in Beijing. First piano lessons when she was six years old and studied at Musikkonservatoriun in Beijing. At 14, she continued her studies at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Canada continued. They later moved to Philadelphia and now lives in New York.

After initial prices 2001 2005 their debut in Europe took place. In 2009 she played at the opening concert of the Lucerne Festival with Claudio Abbado and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3
