Yukiya Arashiro

Yukiya Arashiro (Japanese新城 幸 也, Yukiya Arashiro; born September 22, 1984 in Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture) is a Japanese racing driver.

Yukiya Arashiro began his career in 2006 at the Japanese Cycle Racing Team Vang. In August, he was third in the overall standings of the Tour du Limousin. A little later he started at the road World Cycling Championships in Salzburg in the road race in the U23 class. He came up with the peloton and made it to 14th place. At the Tour de Okinawa, he took later in November the third. The UCI Road World Championships 2010 in Geelong, he was ninth in the following year he was Asian champion in the road race.

2009, 2010 and 2012, denied Arashiro the Tour de France. In 2009, he was the first Japanese man who drove the tour to end. 2009 and 2012, he was excellent in each case after a stage with the red bib number for the most combative rider of a stage.
