Yuli Mikhailovich Vorontsov

July Mikhailovich Vorontsov (Russian Юлий Михайлович Воронцов; born October 7, 1929 in Leningrad, † 12 December 2007) was a Russian diplomat.

Career

Vorontsov was the late 1980s, the Soviet ambassador to Afghanistan, after the last Soviet ambassador to the UN from 1990 to 1991 and the first Russian ambassador to the UN from 1991 to 1994. Starting in 1994, he was Ambassador to the United States.
