Yunfu (Chinese云浮 市/云浮 市, pinyin Yunfu shì ) is a prefecture-level city in the west of south China's Guangdong Province.

Administrative divisions

At county level, Yunfu from a municipality, an independent city and three circles is composed. These are:

  • (1) City District Yuncheng (云 城区), 762 km ², 280,000 inhabitants;
  • (2) City Luoding (罗 定 市), 2300 km ², 1.09 million inhabitants;
  • ( 3) circle Yun'an (云 安县), 1231 km ², 310,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Liudu (六 都 镇);
  • ( 4) District Xinxing (新兴县), 1520 km ², 450,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Xincheng (新 城镇);

Yunfu is located in western Guangdong. It is bordered to the west by the province of Guangxi, in the north and north-east of Zhaoqing, Foshan to the east and to the south by Jiangmen, Yangjiang and Maoming.

The places Yu'nan and Yun'an lying on the Xijiang (西江), which forms part of the border to Zhaoqing.


The climate is subtropical and oceanic in Yunfu.

A highway from Guangzhou to Guangxi (广 梧 高速), which will guide you through Yunfu, is under construction.

The places Luoding, Yuncheng and Yun'an are connected by two rail lines with the railway line from Guangzhou to Zhanjiang, which runs through the south-east of the prefecture-level city.

From Yunfu there is a river port from a direct connection to Hong Kong.


Yunfu is rich in minerals, which is why the prefecture has received the nickname "land / home of the stones " (石 乡). In the minerals processing, it is one of the four major sites in the country.
