Yunfu

Yunfu (Chinese云浮 市/云浮 市, pinyin Yunfu shì ) is a prefecture-level city in the west of south China's Guangdong Province.

Administrative divisions

At county level, Yunfu from a municipality, an independent city and three circles is composed. These are:

  • (1) City District Yuncheng (云 城区), 762 km ², 280,000 inhabitants;
  • (2) City Luoding (罗 定 市), 2300 km ², 1.09 million inhabitants;

Geography

Location

Yunfu is located in western Guangdong. It is bordered to the west by the province of Guangxi, in the north and north-east of Zhaoqing, Foshan to the east and to the south by Jiangmen, Yangjiang and Maoming.

The places Yu'nan and Yun'an lying on the Xijiang (西江), which forms part of the border to Zhaoqing.

The climate is subtropical and oceanic in Yunfu.
