The Yurakucho Station (Japanese有 楽 町 駅, Yurakucho -eki ) is located in Chiyoda in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. On -web spiders of the Tōkyō Metro train station is denoted by Y- 18 for the Yurakucho Line.

History

The station was opened on 25 June 1910, the newly built Keihin - Tohoku Line and the last section of the Yamanote Line. Through an air raid during the Pacific War on 27 January 1945 for nine railway workers and 87 passengers were killed. On October 30, 1974, the Metro Station of the Tōkyō Metro was opened in Yurakucho Line.

Design and tracks

The Stations of the JR East and the Tōkyō Metro are built in the most common design of a railway station as a transit stations.

Platforms JR East

The JR station has four platform tracks which two central platforms approach. The already moving lines run the platforms it according to their direction of travel, and not according to their line of belonging to. The tracks at the station running in a north-south direction.

Platforms Tōkyō Metro

The station of the Tōkyō Metro connects directly west of the JR Station. It has two platform tracks in east-west direction which use a single central platform. Via underground passageways of the station with the station Hibiya Chiyoda Line (C- 09), Hibiya Line (H -07) and Mita Line (I- 08) is connected.

Lines

The station is served by two lines of JR East and a line of Tōkyō Metro. The colors used in the table below correspond to the points awarded by each company color codes of the lines.

Environment

Directly west of the JR East and north of the Tōkyō Metro tracks the Tokyo International Forum connects. Near the railway station are also, among other things, the studios of Toho, the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater (东京 宝 冢 剧场, Tōkyō Takarazuka Gekijo ), the Hibiya Park and the Kasumigaseki government district and the Imperial Palace.

Use

In 2007, the JR station from an average of 166 545 passengers was used on the day, so that the 14th took over 900 on the ranking of the busiest train stations of JR East in 2007. The station of the Tōkyō Metro was used by an average of 147 556 passengers per day in 2007 and therefore occupies rank 15 of the busiest train stations Tōkyō Metro.
