Yuri Larionov

Yuri Larionov (Russian Юрий Юрьевич Ларионов; born August 19, 1986 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in pair skating.

His partner is Wera Basarova. The couple Basarowa / Larionov trained in Perm at Lyudmila Kalinina and starts for Orlenok Perm. Previously, she trained at Andrei Hekalo.

Her international debut at the senior citizens had the Junior World Championship runner- Larionov and Basarowa at Skate America in 2007, where she won the bronze medal at first. Basarowa / Larionov dominated in the 2007/ 08 season, the Junior Grand Prix series, winning their final. Due to a positive doping test Larionov before the finals the pair the gold medal, however, was revoked and Basarowa / Larionov suspended for 18 months. For the 2009/10 season they came back and played third in the Russian Championships debut at World and European Championships and Olympic Games. They were fifth at the European Championships, at the Eighth World Championships and at the Olympic Games Eleventh. 2011 won Basarowa / Larionov at the European Championships in Bern with a bronze medal in her first major championships. The World Championships in Moscow, they finished in fifth place.

In December 2011 Basarowa and Larionov were first Russian champions, but in the absence of the two favored Russian couples. At the European Championships in Sheffield, they won in the absence of Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy and Juko Kawaguti and Alexander Smirnov, the silver medal behind their compatriots Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov. They found new personal bests on both segments and the overall performance. At the world championships in Nice they reached the sixth place.
