Yuri Levitan

Yuri Borisovich Levitan (Russian Юрий Борисович Левитан; * 19 Septemberjul / October 2 1914greg in Vladimir, .. † 4 August 1983 Bessonowka, Belgorod Oblast ) was a Soviet radio announcer.

He announced including the beginning and the end of the German -Soviet war on the radio, just as in 1961 the first manned space flight by Yuri Gagarin.
