Yuri Mikhaylov

Yuri Matveyitch Mikhailov (Russian Юрий Матвеевич Михайлов, English transcription Yuriy Mikhaylov; . Born July 25, 1930 in Ulitino; † July 15, 2008 in Tver ) was a Soviet speed skater.

At the 1956 Olympic Games in Cortina d' Ampezzo he put over 1,500 m in 2:08,6 minutes a world record. The associated Olympic victory he had to share with his fellow countryman Yevgeny Grishin, who ran the exact same time.
