Yuri Moiseev

Yuri Ivanovich Moiseyev (Russian Юрий Иванович Моисеев; born July 15, 1940 in Penza, † September 24, 2005 in Moscow) was a Russian ice hockey player ( Forward / Center ) and coach.

Career

During his career he played for HK CSKA Moscow. In all, he scored 193 goals in 400 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On February 26, 1965, he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Winter Games. For the national team, he scored 13 goals in 37 internationals. He was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame" in 1968. On March 8, 1971 he played his last international match.

After his playing career was Moiseyev Hockey coach. First, he was a member of the coaching staff of CSKA Moscow, after which he worked for SKA Kuibyshev. Between 1976 and 1984 he was an assistant coach at CSKA Moscow under Constantine and Viktor Tikhonov Loktew.

From 1984 he supervised the HK Dynamo Moscow as head coach and led this club four times on the podium of the Soviet Championship - three times on the second and even the third rank. In 1989 he left Dynamo.

In the season 1994/95 he worked as the head coach of the ZSK WWS Samara. From 1995 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2005 oversaw the Ak Bars Kazan Moiseyev and won with this 1998 Russian Championship.
