Yuri Georgijewitsch Shargin (Russian Юрий Георгиевич Шаргин, scientific transliteration Yuri Georgievic Sargın; born March 20, 1960 in Engels, Saratov Oblast, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian cosmonaut.

Shargin graduated from the Military Engineering Academy of Air and Space in Leningrad. He is a Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Space Forces.

Shargin was selected as a cosmonaut on 9 February 1996. In 2004 he was selected to fly aboard Soyuz TMA -5 as a flight engineer on the International Space Station. He was the first Russian cosmonaut with a (secret) military mission to the ISS.

He is divorced and has two children.
