Railway Obskaya - Bovanenkovo
Yuribei
With the Yuribei bridge the railway line Obskaya - Bovanenkovo crosses the flood plain of the Yuribei in Russia.
The bridge has a length of 3893 meters, the longest bridge north of the Arctic Circle.
Construction
The end of 2007 began with the establishment. For this was a new technology, a freezing method, applied for the first time, which avoids that the permafrost is warmed sufficiently during the work that he thaws and thus is unstable. On 24 September 2009, the operation of the bridge was opened.
Technical Parameters
The bridge comprises 107 bridge arch of each 34.2 meters in length and for the actual river crossing two bridges grid segments of 110 meter span. These segments are stored on 110 pillars, which had to be driven 30 to 60 feet deep into the ground due to the Perma- frost and the hydrological conditions. The structure weighs 30,000 tons.
