Yury Blinov

Yuri Ivanovich Blinov (Russian Юрий Иванович Блинов; born January 13, 1949 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player.

Career

During his career, the striker played for HC CSKA Moscow. In total he scored 119 goals in 236 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On 17 December 1971 he was in the Izvestia Cup against Finland for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice, where he also scored his first international goal. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 1972. For the national team, he scored 23 goals in 37 internationals. The Ice Hockey World Championships in 1972, he was with his team's second and he participated in the 1972 Summit Series part. He was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame" Also in 1972. On 17 December 1972 he played his last international match.
