Yusif ibn Kuseyir Mausoleum

The mausoleum of Yusuf ibn Kusejir is a mausoleum in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The building was built in 1162 by architect Adschemi ibn Abubekr as a tomb for the commander Yusuf ibn Kusejir.

Building

Octagonal brick is covered by a Zeltdack. The side walls are accented by pilasters and are lined with patterned tiles. Under the cornice is a frieze moves along, which is filled with a Kufic inscription. The arched portal is based on three-quarter columns with decorated capitals.
