Yuval Diskin

Juval Diskin (Hebrew יובל דיסקין, English transcription Yuval Diskin, . * 1956 ) is the former head of Israel's domestic intelligence agency Shin bet from 2005 to 2011.

Life

In his service as an officer in the Israel Defence Forces (IDF ) Diskin was, among others, Commander of the Special Sajeret Shaked in the south of Israel. In 1978, he was the Israeli domestic intelligence service Shin Bet, also known as Shabak, adjusted and worked for them in the subsequent period in different positions. 15 May 2005 Diskin was appointed director of the service, appointed to succeed Avi Dichter. 15 May 2011 he was succeeded as director of the Shin Bet Yoram Cohen.
