YÅ«ya Yagira

Yuya Yagira (Japanese柳 楽 优 弥, Yagira Yuya; born 26 March 1990 in Higashiyamato, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese actor.

His first experience as an actor he made in 2003 in the television drama Kunimitsu no Matsurigoto, a screen adaptation of the manga by Tadashi Agi and Masashi Asaki. He became famous in 2004 by starring in the movie Nobody Knows, which is about four siblings who are left unattended by her mother for a long time. For his portrayal of twelve year old Akira Yuya Yagira Award at the International Film Festival in Cannes in 2004 for Best Actor. In Hoshi ni Natta Shonen from the year 2005, he had his second starring role. There he played an animal-loving boy who befriends two elephants.

He is under contract with the Stardust Promotion talent development company.
