Yves Ciampi

Yves Ciampi ( born February 9, 1921 in Paris; native Yves Jean Marie Ciampi, † November 7, 1982 ) was a French film director and screenwriter.

Life and work

Ciampi studied medicine and worked from 1941 to 1943 as a hospital doctor. In 1946 he began with the production of documentaries and worked as assistant director on feature films. With the much-publicized melodrama chief physician Dr. Delius he made in 1951 for the attention. The successful doctor film The Doctor and the girl with Dieter Borsche and Jean Marais formed Ciampis career highlight.
