Yvette Cooper

Yvette Cooper ( born March 20, 1969 in Inverness, Scotland) is a British politician, and was dated 5 June 2009 to 2010 Minister of the Department for Work and Pensions in the Brown government.

Life

After her schooling Cooper studied at Balliol College, Oxford, and reached the Bachelor in Philosophy & Economics. She then studied under the Kennedy Scholarship to Harvard University and reached the master. After her studies, Cooper received in 1990 a job with the politician John Smith. As a political consultant Cooper was also responsible for Bill Clinton in 1992 in the election campaign and then worked for the British MP Harriet Harman. 1995 Cooper was hired as an economic correspondent for the British newspaper The Independent.

As a member of the Labour Party succeeded Cooper first time in 1997 for Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley the catchment as MPs in the British House of Commons and was reelected in 2001 and 2005.

Cooper is married to Ed Balls since 10 January 1998. The couple has three children.
