Yvon Petra

Yvon Petra ( born March 8, 1916 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; † September 12, 1984 in Paris) was a French tennis player.

Petra was the successor of the "Four Musketeers" ( Henri Cochet, Jean Borotra, René Lacoste and Jacques Brugnon ), which provided in the twenties and thirties for Fuore on the international tennis courts.

Yvon Petra won the 1946 men's singles at Wimbledon. Petra went with a specialty in the history of Wimbledon one. He was the last tennis player who was on Centre Court as a player long pants. He also won 1943 to 1945 the French open tennis championships in Paris.
