Zach Galifianakis
Zach Galifianakis (Greek Ζαχαρίας Γαλιφιανάκης; born October 1, 1969 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina as Zacharius Knight Galifianakis ) is an American comedian and film actor. He is known for his unconventional stand- up style. He achieved international fame was known especially for the Golden Globe -winning comedy The Hangover.
Life and career
Galifianakis grew up in Wilkesboro, a small town in North Carolina, the son of a Greek and an American on. He attended Wilkes Central High School and later the North Carolina State University.
His career as an actor and comedian started in the mid 1990s, in which Galifianakis, among others, participated in the sitcom Boston Common. After several film performances and shows on Comedy Central since 2008, he hosts the fake interview series Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis (translated: Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis ), in which he satirical interviews with celebrities from film and television ( under including Barack Obama and Charlize Theron ) leads. A year later, he took with Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms starring in the hit comedy The Hangover, which helped him to international fame.
Galifianakis is from the beginning a permanent member of the comedy video website Funny Or Die, founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay in 2007 and, among other things comedy productions realized with young talent.
Since August 2012, he is married with Quinn Lundberg. She is co-founder and vice president of the charity Growing Voices. In September 2013 their first child together was born.
For sensation Zach Galifianakis made during a panel discussion at Real Time with Bill Maher on the release of marijuana in California ( Proposition 19 ). There he suddenly pulled a joint out of his pocket and smoked it during the live broadcast. Bill Maher later denied that the " joint " actually contained marijuana.
