Zach Wells

Zachary Stephen Wells ( born February 26, 1981 in Costa Mesa, California) is an American football player. He plays the position of goalkeeper.

Career

Wells studied at UCLA, whose team he was from 1999 to 2003. In the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, he was pulled in the third round of the MetroStars first. As a substitute goalkeeper Jonny Walker man behind it came in the first season only twice used. After Walker in 2005 had to undergo an operation to be Wells won the position in the goal. When, however, has been committed to date, unsigned Tony Meola in the summer of 2005, Wells had on the bench again. Therefore, he moved in 2006 to Houston Dynamo.

Wells played his so far the only match for the U.S. Selection 19 February 2006 against Guatemala. He heard in 2007 in the comprehensive 70 players advanced squad of the national team.
