Zaid al-Rifai

Zaid ar - Rifa ʿ i (Arabic زيد الرفاعي, DMG Zaid al- ʿ ī Rifā; born November 27, 1936 in Amman ) was twice Prime Minister of Jordan (May 26, 1973 to July 13, 1976 and 4 April 1985 to April 27, 1989 ).

Both his father Samir ar - Rifa ʿ i and his son, the same ar - Rifa ʿ i Samir, was Prime Minister of Jordan.

After studying at Victoria College in Cairo, he studied at Harvard University and Columbia University in New York. He later worked in the Jordanian embassies in Cairo, Beirut and London, and at the UN in New York.
