Zala County
Zala [ zɒlɒ ] is a county (administrative district ) in southwest Hungary. It is bordered by Slovenia and Croatia as well as the counties Vas, Veszprém and Somogy. It has an area of 3784 km ² and 298 374 inhabitants ( 2001). The county seat is Zalaegerszeg, other major cities are Nagykanizsa and Keszthely.

Geography
The area is hilly. The Drava River in the south at the same time forms the Hungarian border, and in the north east, the county has a small share of the Lake Balaton, in the well of the Zala River flows.
