Zalakaros

Zalakaros is a spa town in the west of Hungary. The 750 -year-old " rural " community with its almost 2,000 inhabitants has despite its small area of ​​only 17.17 km ² city rights, making it the smallest city in Hungary. She is also an aspiring spa resort in Zala county.

The place is located south- west of Lake Balaton ( Balaton ) near the nature reserve Kis -Balaton ( Little Balaton ) in the Zala hills.

Zalakaros is known primarily for its modern thermal, spa and pool complex. The twin cities of Zalakaros are Puchheim in Germany and in Austria Asperhofen.
