The Žalgirio Arena (also: Kauno Arena ) is a multi-purpose hall in the second largest Lithuanian city of Kaunas, on the Nemunas island. The Žalgirio Arena is located in the street Karaliaus Mindaugo prospektas. It is the home ground of the basketball team Kauno Zalgiris.

History

In August 2008 the construction project and on September 26th of that year the foundation stone was laid. Shortly before the Eurobasket 2011, the hall was officially opened and all the matches of the final round were played in the Žalgirio Arena.
