Zalmai Rassoul

Zalmay Rassoul (also Zalmai; persian زلمی رسول, DMG Zalmay Rasūl; b. 1944 in Kabul ) is an Afghan politician. He's since January 2010 Foreign Minister in the cabinet of Hamid Karzai.

Rassoul visited the Medical School in Paris and graduated from it in 1973. He is fluent in Dari, Pashto, French, English, Italian and Arabic with deductions also. He has published over 30 articles in American and European journals, and was a member of the American Society of Nephrology.

Rasul is a candidate for the presidential election of 2014.
