Zalman Susayeff

Salman Susajew (Hebrew זַלְמָן סוּזָאיֶב or Hebrew זַלְמָן סוּזאיֵּיב, born February 14, 1911 in Riga, Empire Russia, † February 25, 1981 in Israel) was an Israeli politician, Knesset member and entrepreneur.

Life

Susajew studied at the University of Latvia, where he was head of the Hasmonean Union. In 1935, he immigrated to Palestine, where he worked as a businessman. From 1949 to 1950 he was the President of the Israel Association of Importers and Wholesalers, and from 1950 to 1952 he was the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Tel Aviv. From 1965 to 1969 he was the president of the Israeli employers' organization and was established in 1969, Managing Director of the Council for public lenders. After his death, he left behind his wife Roli (1915-2002), two daughters and a son. Susajew was buried in Nachlat - Jitschak Cemetery in Tel - Aviv.

Politician

Susajew in 1951 voted for the General Zionists as a deputy in the Knesset. He was on June 15, 1953 to June 29, 1955 Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade (2nd legislature or 4th and 5th government). From August 15, 1955 to November 30, 1959, he was a member of the Finance Committee of the Knesset in the third Knesset.
