Zamboni Company

Frank J. Zamboni & Co., Inc. is a company founded by Frank J. Zamboni in 1950 company headquartered in Paramount, USA. Zamboni invented, built and sold the first modern resurfacers for ice rinks. Through these machines, the ice could be artificially produced and smoothed. Until then, it was dependent on the ice rinks on the weather, or the ice had to be processed by many workers.

Today Zamboni is a synonym for Eisbearbeitung and the associated machinery.

Trivia

In the computer game Plants vs. Zombies ( Plants Vs. Zombies ), there is a character, the Zomboni, a zombie who drives an ice cream maker with a big Z on the hood. In plant and zombie lexicon in the game is drawn to the approval by the company Zamboni and on their website.
