Geographical Location

Zangberg located in Southeast Upper Bavaria at the northern edge of the Isentales and forms the entrance to tertiary Lower Bavarian hill country.

History

Zangberg was first mentioned only in 1285, during the church part because churches will already witnessed 788. The place belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the Neumarkt district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. The Countess of the election had here in 1800 an open Hofmark. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

The site is determined by the developed in the 17th century building of the present monastery of St. Joseph. In the rooms of the former Higher - daughters - school of the Salesian Sisters Zangberg whose most famous pupil was probably Zita of Bourbon- Parma, is today the BSH Academy of BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group, as well as the Capgemini sd & m training rooms.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy

There were 1998 in the field of agriculture and forestry, industry and the trade and transport any social insurance contributions at the workplace.
