Zapatista

As Zapatistas or Zapatistas are predominantly indigenous revolutionary groups in southern Mexico, especially in Chiapas, respectively.

International attention, the Zapatistas in 1994 as a result of the armed uprising of the Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional under Subcomandante Marcos. The name of the Zapatistas goes back to Emiliano Zapata (1879-1919), the well- known leaders of the Mexican Revolution in southern Mexico and its Ejército Libertador del Sur to the ( German: " Liberation Army of the South" ) belonging colleagues. Sometimes, therefore, is also a distinction between Zapatistas and neo- Zapatistas.
