The largely straightened watercourse begins in the west of the township of Grambow on the edge of a wooded area. From God's gift and small Welzin piping were taken to this place. To the south, the Zare runs past the Grambower district Wodenhof. After Wodenhof ends of the Grambower Moor draining Otter digging a. 1.2 km north of the hamlet belonging to Dumber Walsmühlen and 1.3 kilometers west of Zülow opens the Czars on the municipal boundary in the brews. This leads the water farther from across the Elbe into the North Sea.
