Zargari Romani

Zargari is a branch of Balkan Romani dialects. It will be in the Iranian province of Qazvin in the village Zargar ( county Abyek ) used by about 160 families. However, it is also spoken in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The UCLA Language Materials Project Zargari describes as a " secret language of artists " in Persian basis. The Linguistic Summer Institute sees Zargari a dialect of goldsmiths. An oral tradition bears the name of the village back to its founders, three brothers, the goldsmiths (Persian زرگر, Zargar ). The classification according to ISO 639-3 is rmn - zar.
